Crooked teeth are not only about how they look
Crowded teeth are harder to clean, so caries appears more often. An incorrect bite loads the jaw unevenly and wears the enamel down. That is why orthodontics often begins not for the smile but to stop something that has already started.
Appointments are run by Dr Anna Kaznokh. Treatment always starts with a consultation and a plan: no appliance is placed without an image and a calculation.
Braces or aligners
Braces handle harder cases and cost less. Aligners are invisible and removable but more expensive, and they require discipline: the trays must be on the teeth for most of the day.
Metal braces
The classic system we have worked with the longest. The price includes placement, arch activations throughout treatment, home care selection and hygiene instruction.
Ceramic braces
The same, but tooth-coloured - noticeably less visible in photographs and in conversation.
Self-ligating systems
No ligatures: the arch moves more freely and activation visits are usually fewer. Available in metal and ceramic.
Aligners
A full set of clear trays for the whole course, attachment placement and supervision. A simple case takes up to a year, a complex one up to a year and a half.
Questions about correcting the bite
Is the price for both jaws?
No, for one. The price list states this separately because some patients need an appliance on a single jaw.
Is it too late as an adult?
No. Teeth move at any age; only the speed changes. In adults orthodontics is often done as preparation for prosthetics.
How many visits will there be?
With braces, regular arch activations; with aligners, follow-up visits when the tray sets change. The exact schedule comes with the plan.
Can braces be placed if there is caries?
Teeth are treated and hygiene is done first. Access to the enamel is worse under braces, so everything that can be treated beforehand is treated beforehand.
