First we look for a way to keep the tooth
Extraction is a loss, and we treat it that way. If there is any hope of preservation we first try endodontics under a microscope: a tooth that elsewhere was proposed for extraction can often be retreated instead.
When it truly cannot be saved, the doctor shows you the image where that is visible and talks about what comes next: healing, timing, whether an implant is needed.
Complexity here comes in three levels
The price of each includes not only the operation itself but the haemostatic sponge, suturing if needed, follow-up visits and suture removal.
Tooth extraction
A standard procedure under anaesthesia: extraction, haemostatic sponge, suturing of the socket if needed, follow-up visit and suture removal.
Wisdom tooth extraction
Wisdom teeth are almost always harder than an ordinary tooth: more roots, less access. Full surgical care from the collagen sponge to suture removal.
Atypical wisdom tooth extraction
The tooth has not erupted or lies horizontally. Here the Acteon Piezotome Cube works: it cuts bone without traumatising soft tissue, so the swelling is smaller.
Questions about extraction
Can several wisdom teeth be removed at once?
Yes - patients describe having three and four removed in a single visit. The surgeon decides after looking at the image.
How long does the socket heal?
The first few days are the most noticeable, then it gets easier. The exact timing depends on the complexity, which is why follow-up and suture removal are already in the price.
What is a piezotome and why use it?
It is an ultrasonic surgical scaler. It works on bone and leaves soft tissue alone, so the incision is more precise and healing faster.
Can an implant be placed immediately?
Sometimes yes - that is immediate implantation. It is possible with sufficient bone volume and no active inflammation; the doctor decides after the tomography.
